​1 .What is SHR?
Near painless hair removal technology that uses multiple low-energy and rapid light pulses to destroy the hair follicles. To lessen discomfort, the handpiece has a cooling tip that helps to cool down the skin during the process. 

2. Why SHR?

Almost painless. Lower energy, more pulses with a  cooling system helps to make the process alot more comfortable.

Removes even fine hairs. Due to the repetition,  fine hairs can be targeted more evenly and safely.

Safer for all skin tones due to lower energy pulses. Tanner skin tones are more prone to burns with traditional IPL.

Shave the body part.  For a truly painless and effective session, please shave the night before or in the morning of your appointment. As clean as you can get it. 

DO NOT WAX. This includes any form of plucking your hair. For the SHR to be effective, it requires the hair root to be present to destroy the hair follicles. 

Come with clean skin. No lotions, no makeup, no sunblock etc. Product-free skins gives the best results.

Wear lose clothing. No skinny jeans, no tight t-shirt. Tight clothes can rub against the skin post SHR, causing irritation from the friction.

Talk to us. Let us know if you are on any medication that can cause sensitivity, any concerned areas (like rashes, eczema) or just to ask questions.

No heat! Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms etc. External heat prolongs the redness and irritation. Cool and lukewarm water are the best!

Do less strenuous exercises. Sweat can trap bacteria in the follicles, and friction can further cause redness. 

Avoid pools and spa facilities. Chlorinated water can irritate the skin. Shared water spaces can also increase infection risks.

Lotion up! Use only fragrance and dye free lotions / moisturizers. Water-based lightweight lotions will be the best such as aloe vera gel. 

Avoid certain active ingredients in the area. No retionoids, AHAs, BHAs and vitamin C as they can irritate the skin
